Teal Grove Table Lamp

This table lamp features a two-body ceramic base in a striking contrast of glazes — a smooth, rounded upper globe in deep teal-blue, glossy and full, sitting atop a taller faceted lower body glazed in warm amber-brown, rich and treacly, the surface catching light differently across each hand-thrown plane. The two forms meet at a dark collar, the teal and amber held apart by a thin line of shadow, like water meeting earth at a riverbank.

The shade is wide and gently tapered — pale butter-yellow fabric printed with vintage florals, coral peonies, white cotton blooms, and blue-grey foliage drifting across the surface. When lit, the yellow ground glows like afternoon sun through a muslin curtain, the florals warm and soft, the teal globe below deepening to near-black.

This is the lamp for a sun-filled room — a window overlooking a courtyard, a brass pot in the corner, the kind of quiet that only old homes have.

Material 

This table lamp has a stem made from stoneware clay, fired at 1220°C, paired with a Chanderi cotton floral lampshade.
