Red Earth Stripe Table Lamp

This table lamp features a tall, architectural ceramic base glazed in deep, warm chocolate-brown and lavender — rich and earthy, the colour of red laterite soil after rain, the glaze smooth and even with a quiet depth that shifts between rust and dark treacle in different light.

The form is bold and structural: a wide, faceted upper section — almost hexagonal, the planes crisp and deliberate — sitting directly atop a straight cylindrical lower body, the two forms separated by a clean horizontal groove. The whole piece reads like a column, grounded and confident.

The shade is wide and generously tapered — white fabric printed with bold horizontal stripes in coral-red, blush pink, and soft lavender, hand-printed with the slight irregularity of block print, the lines slightly wavy, the colours bleeding softly at the edges. When lit, the stripes glow warm and festive — the coral deepening, the lavender turning soft gold at the edges.

Material 

This table lamp has a stem made from stoneware clay, fired at 1220°C, paired with a Chanderi cotton floral lampshade.
