Clay Play Fridays!

Hello!

Every friday, I Nikita post a handbuilding pottery project that you can do from anywhere with your friends, partner, kids, family, colleagues with a few basic tools that I'll be mentioning with each project.

The Clay Play Friday is posted on Instagram. I've compiled all the projects here so you can easily access them.

Before you get started with the projects, I have created a 'Getting Started' Video which will quickly introduce you to handbuilt pottery, what are we doing here, clay prep, tools prep and common issues that you might face. Make sure to do this project before any other.

Suppliers

I normally get my tools from Bhoomi Pottery, Claystation bangalore, Sara Clay & Ceramics, Amazon & Ravi Etching Press. You can google them or find them on Instagram.

Surface

Make sure to put a newspaper sheet or work on a canvas board. Don't work directly on your tables at home. This is because you might scratch your surfaces and will also make your clay stick as most of our home tables are smooth and polished. The canvas board and newspaper will solve that.

Tools

A water bowl, basic pottery toolset, slab roller, crafting knife, a hand towel, few handblocks, stamping tools, cookie cutters and decorative tools.

Here are the links to all the projects. Enjoy :)
