Deccan Dusk Table Lamp

This table lamp features a tall, cylindrical terracotta stem — raw, unglazed, and warm in its natural red-earth colour. Wrapped around the middle is a thick, textured glazed ceramic band, crackled and speckled in creamy white and grey, like a bangle or a ring of stone set into the column. The contrast between the matte terracotta and the lustrous glazed band gives it a deeply architectural, almost sculptural quality.

The base flares gently outward, grounding the tall form with quiet confidence. The terracotta is left intentionally raw — you can see the grain of the clay, the marks of the wheel, the honesty of the material.

Topped with a marigold-yellow floral fabric shade — bold magenta and crimson blooms on a warm golden ground — which crowns the earthy column with an explosion of Indian summer colour.

Material 

This table lamp has a stem made from stoneware clay, fired at 1220°C, paired with a Chanderi cotton floral lampshade.
