Dusk Table Lamp (Copy)

This table lamp features a stacked ceramic base glazed in warm, burnished terracotta-brown — the colour of sun-baked earth in the Eastern Ghats, smooth and even, with a quiet depth that shifts between rust and chocolate depending on the light.

The form is bold and architectural: a taller tapered upper section sitting atop a wider, rounder lower body, separated by a copper-rose glazed band that catches the light like a coal still glowing. At the foot, a soft unglazed ring grounds the piece, raw and cool against the warmth above.

The shade is wide and generous — white fabric scattered with loose watercolour botanicals, blush petals, rust-red blooms, and olive foliage. When lit, the florals become warm and translucent, the colours bleeding softly into each other like ink on wet paper.

This is the lamp for a reading corner in a heritage bungalow in South India — terracotta floors, wooden shutters, the last light of the afternoon coming in sideways.

Material 

This table lamp has a stem made from stoneware clay, fired at 1220°C, paired with a Chanderi cotton floral lampshade.
