We are excited to announce 6 week courses this autumn 2023.
There are two options - The first one is during the monsoon season august to sep and the second is during the autumn season of sep to nov. Both start at a beginner level and go upto intermediate. If you've done some pottery before, let us know at the time of registration.

6 Week Slow Pottery X Velanga Orchard | Farm residential course
Dates -
Monsoon Course - 31st July to 11th August
Autumn Course - 25th September to 6th November
What will you learn? Beginners to Intermediate level pottery, with glazing, firing, practical knowledge of recycling clay, prepping glazes, taking care of a studio, and all about setting up your home studio.

An ultra-private 50 acres mango orchard, skirting a reserve forest at the foot of a hill with a couple of lakes nearby. Surrounded by shrub forests endowed with over a 100 species of birds and animals.
We have built the cottages using vernacular design, local material and vintage aesthetics. The space is surrounded by neem, coconut, teak trees, under the canopies of mango trees, with the hill at the back and lush green all around.

Note - These are the basic forms we'll be working with. These forms will enable you to make all kinds of decorative and tableware pots.

Learn how to setup your own home studio
Here’s the course fee of the 6 weeks course with accommodation, meals, firing and glazing of pots, taxes.
We have different accommodation types and you can choose from the following options -
- Totapuri Rumani Cottage
This cottage is a house with two rooms, shared bath, shared courtyard and an outdoor kitchen.
- Room Totapuri in the cottage (Individual Room Shared Bath)
Room Totapuri is an individual big room in this cottage for one person with a shared bath and courtyard, kitchen.
Fees - Rs. 2,21760/- includes the course, accommodation, meals and tax for one person for 6 weeks.
2. Room Rumani ( Individual Room with shared bath)
Room Romani is an individual small room in this cottage for one person with a shared bath and courtyard.
Fees - Rs.2,01,600/- includes the course, accommodation, meals and tax for one person for 6 weeks.
3. Room Benesha ( Shared Cottage two people )
This accommodation type is a shared room with two individual beds, shared kitchenette, bath and patio for two people.
Fees - Rs. 181,440/- includes the course, accommodation, meals and tax for one person for 6 weeks.

This accommodation is a private cottage for one person with a single bed, bath, kitchenette, patio.
Fees - Rs. 2,41,920/- includes the course, accommodation, meals and tax for one person for 6 weeks

Accommodation & Meals
- All cottages have kitchenettes equipped with mini fridges, induction plate, basic utensils.
- Laundry is taken care off by us. (Twice a week - machine wash)
- All three meals, with snacks, tea will be provided, basic vegetarian or non vegetarian Indian meals at the common dining room.
- Accommodation & Meals will be provided for the entire duration of your course. This includes weekends (when the classes are not running)

How to reach us?
Velanga Orchard, Bodabandla village is located in Bangarupalem Tehsil of Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Velanga Orchard, the location found on google maps is 164km from Bangalore International Airport.
You can reach the Orchard via bus and car/cab.
Payment
To book your slot, we take 50% of the total fees. Remaining 50% payment to be made before 15th November 2022
If we don't receive the remaining payment before 15th November 2022, we will be cancelling your slot, with no refund.
After 15th November 2022 - To book your slot, we will be taking the full payment.
IMPORTANT - Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel before the 30th of November, we will provide you with a 100% refund.
- If you cancel between the 1st to 15th December, we deduct 30% of the total fees as cancellation fees and refund you the remaining paid amount.
- If you cancel between the 16th December to 31st December, we deduct 50% of the total fees as cancellation fees and refund you the remaining paid amount.
- From 1st Jan 2023, we will not be providing any refund.
- If you have a case of medical emergency informed atleast a week in advance, we can consider rescheduling the course (upon providing proof) Refund is not possible. Less than a week, we will not be able to help you.
- We follow this policy without any exceptions.
- We take four weeks to process any refund.
